Trend spotting in London
Since 2012 we have arranged and led trend spotting tours to London for both small and large groups, within retail and food/beverage and often with a mix of both these areas. By now, we have made more than a dozen of trips each lasting two to four days and with participants numbering between five and fifteen people, ranging from young trainees to senior experts in their field of work. Why London then? London is unique in the way it is so easily accessible to a Swedish visitor yet offering a close to endless number of highly interesting areas to visit and explore. What is going on in London today will reach Sweden and Scandinavia first in a couple of years so why not go there and see, taste and experience for yourself right now?
The tours we have arranged have stretched over most of London; from East End’s Old Spitalfields Market and Shoreditch, up to Stoke Newington and to the east Hackeny Wick and Canary Warf; from cool Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill and Kensington High Street in the West End down to rejuvenated King’s Road and Sloane Square; south of the Themes we have ventured all the way down to Peckham, Clapham Common and Brixton but also covered large parts of bustling Southbank; and groups have been exploring several parts of central London such as King’s Cross, Islington and Angel, as well as Camden, but also the city centre itself with district such as Soho, Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Clerkenwell have been on our map. In short, many places and areas in London where there is constant progression in new, innovative and interesting retail, restaurants, food and beverage. Several trend spotting trips have been integrated parts of management programs at MiL Institute and EFL at Lund University but also conducted within Open Innovation Training Programs at Livsmedelsakademin and as educational initiatives for groups of retails professionals by the Lund City Retail Association.
